Case Study - New To Writing For Money On HubPages Part 2

Since the last time wrote here in my case study about HubPages I have had my first hub about making money on Twitter re-approved and published my second hub, this time about how to clean jewelry.

If you read my first post in this case study then you know that my first hub was flagged for being overly promotional. I am glad to say that I extended it only marginally and it has since been re-approved for publishing. I kept my first hub short and use it to promote Twtad because I wanted to see what they expect out of writers and in what ways they allow us to benefit on our own. You probably noticed that my second hub is of a higher quality than the first. This is not just because I like to put quality into the things that I write so that my readers find value, I also did this because this second hub about cleaning jewelry was made as a response to a request made by another member of HubPages.

Case Study - Can I Tap The Full Potential of Hub Pages?

I am taking Hubpages for a spin and you can also take a tour of their offering. I decided to make a case study out of it because it will really benefit people who are hoping to make money from writing online. Hubpages allows you to create content in an easy semi-WYSIWYG editor (it is really nice for writers) and leave the site maintenance - and more importantly for you, the advertising - to them. They also boast a high page rank so they are a great way to be informative and share the things you write for a profit. Read on to hear about my first hub, how it got rejected, and why I look at that as a good thing.

Pick one and sign up for a Google account at GMail. You can name it anything, but it might help to use something targeted to your topic. Now you are going to setup your first blog. We’re going to use Google’s BlogSpot because it is by far the easiest way to get used to a blog and the features. An Intermission For More Advanced Writers: Ed Dale

If you happen to learn faster than I post than I wanted to take this time to introduce to you a “friend” of mine named Ed Dale. No, those quotations are not snooty in the least - it’s just that he lives an an ocean and continents away from me. The extent that I know Mr Ed Dale is that I follow Ed on twitter and - more importantly for this post - I have checked out his training program called The 30 Day Challenge. Guess why it’s called that? I’m sure you guessed it. If you haven’t done any web writing yet and this is still new to you, I encourage you to hold off on signing up with Ed and stick to article writing on various topics for now. This is not just to make sure you know your strong topics, it’s also so that you know which ones will perform the best, among other things. As for users who have found this all to be very easy, I will tell you about Ed and his rather useful 30 Day Challenge after the jump to read more.
